Feifei Li received his Ph.D. in computer science from Boston University in 2007, and B.S. from NTU, Singapore in 2002. He joined the Department of Computer Science at FSU as an Assistant Professor in 2007. His research interests are security and privacy in both streaming and relational database systems, management and indexing of large databases, spatio-temporal database applications, stream and sensor databases as well as data management in uncertain databases.

Research

His research covers indexing and query processing in large database systems, spatio-temporal databases, algorithms and applications in stream and sensor databases. His recent research focuses on security and privacy issues in both relational and streaming database systems. More specifically, he is working on query authentication and verification for both relational and streaming data, as well as privacy preservation for streaming data and time series data. His other research interest is data management issues in uncertain databases. Feifei is actively collaborating with industry labs to work on problems with practical impacts. He was a research intern to IBM T.J. Watson research center in summer 2006, a visiting research consultant for AT&T Labs since 2006 and a research intern to Microsoft Research in summer 2007. His research lead to the best paper award in ICDE 2004 and the best presenter award in IBM T.J. Watson research center among research summer interns in his department for the summer of 2006
